A man was killed apparently while attempting to prevent a woman from being robbed, according to a Metro Police news release.
Officers responded to a report of gunfire in the 100 block of Upland Boulevard at about 4:50 p.m. Thursday.
Upon arriving, they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound inside a vehicle that had collided with a tree, the release stated. He was taken of a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Officers were able to identify a possible suspect, Rodger Harrison, 28. He was located and detained, police stated.
According to police, Harrison allegedly took property belonging to a woman who was selling items in the area. The man who was killed had confronted Harrison, leading to a physical altercation that resulted in Harrison allegedly pulling out a gun and shooting the other man.
Harrison was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on murder, robbery and weapons charges, the release stated.
